Hi all!

The Grove has been busy with functions for the past few months and it has gone very well. We have a great venue, great menu and great atmosphere. Please consider us for the New Year for you wedding, stork party, kids party, birthdays and any fun day / night you would like to promote!

Green Valley Estate will shortly be developing its fully self-sustainable "green" and off the grid homes. We have 30 plots available on a first come first serve basis. Thus you can live on a in a farming development at very little cost, while enjoying the game, lake and olive trees!

We will update you shortly on the development.

Brain Tumour Benefit Tea 22 October 2011

On the 22 October 2011, The Grove will be hosting a benefit tea to raise funds for the Brain Tumour Foundation Charity Trust. The Brain Tumour Foundation was recently opened to assist patients with information and to create awareness.

Tickets are R55 p/p this includes very tasty cakes and savouries, tea / coffee.

We would like everyone to bring a plant that will "fruit" this could be nuts, fruit, vegetables or herds. After the events we will give each person the opportunity to plant and dedicate the plant to someone special.
We will have seedlings for sale if you don't manage to bring one.

We encourage people to host a table of 8 and decorate it. For those who have or are representing cancer, please wear a little hat in the appropriate colour.

The Grove is considering changing its operating hours as most of our business comes from booked parties. If you would like to join us, please give us a call.

We offer great food, good prices, kids play area and good old fashioned farm environment.

Mothers Day

The Grove welcomes people to join us in celebrating Mothers Day.

Frank McMahon will be singing on Mothers day between 2pm - 4pm.

There will be a breakfast buffet from 9am - 11.30am the cost is R50 (excluding coffees) per person and for children R35. It does include a glass of juice.

Lunch is served from 12:30 - 3pm. There is with a choice of Beef fillet, Roast Lamb, Roast Pork or Chicken. Availability is subject to choice so it is best to book early. We will NOT be offering a broad menu unless arranged beforehand.

Depending on space, customers can join us for tea and cake and listen to Frank sing from 3:30pm - 4:30pm.

The Grove is a year old and soon becoming a toddler! This year we have realised where we had the most impact and what our biggest responses were.

So we have decided that we will not be open during the week but rather promote the following things on the weekends:
- Sunday lunches with dessert for R75
- Saturday buffet breakfasts for R55p/p
- Kids parties and play area

WE DO STILL HAVE THE NORMAL OFFERINGS

We will also be offering specials and promoting our venue and functions for :
- weddings
- birthday parties
- corporate break aways
- Anniversaries
- Stork parties / kitchen teas

Our weekends are open from 9am - 4:30pm

There is always a need for healthy food that tastes good. I wanted to add to that and serve healthy food that tastes and looks good! This one is a sweet chicken served with spinach, beetroot, baby marrow, carrots, potato rosti and sweet potato! If you don't like my food you don't have to pay!

Well the soccer world cup is nearly here! I am going to attempt to do a few themed foods over the festival. This week is mexican! Even though we support SA we might as well taste what the mexicans eat!! Please call me for a booking and remember to bring the family over the holidays!

Last weekend was a bit crazy during Mother's Day. We had a few hiccups with the kitchen heaters at lunch time which was really disappointing considering everything was ready to go! But we are back to normal after a few lessons learnt! We will be offering our very popular Sunday lunch with half portion dessert for R68 again this weekend.

Butternut Soup

It is quite cold today so I have added butternut soup onto the menu! Lovely rich creamy butternut served with crispy bread! That is what I felt like for lunch!

Theme Party

The kids were such great sports!!! The birthday boy almost consumed the whole tin of "DogFood"! There was a 'tiny' girl in orange that ran circles around the boys! It was great fun - the kids ALL got dirty - and tired!
